Growth and excellence, every day.
We created our school vision together, working closely with parents and carers, staff and pupils. It reflects what matters most to our community and what we want for every child at Cherry Tree Academy. This vision is not just words on a page – it guides the choices we make every day, shaping our relationships, our learning and the culture we build so that every pupil feels they belong and can thrive.
Our vision is that at Cherry Tree Academy, every child is known, valued and made to feel they truly belong. With kind relationships, high expectations and a consistent approach, we help every child thrive and grow into confident, independent and successful individuals.
Our Values
Our values are important because they shape who we are as a school community and how we treat one another every day. They guide our choices, our behaviour and the way we learn together, helping us create a safe, caring and purposeful environment where every child can thrive.
At Cherry Tree Academy, we are considerate, showing kindness and respect to everyone in our community, and inclusive, ensuring every child and family feels welcomed, valued and able to belong. We promote being healthy in body and mind, helping children to make positive choices and develop good habits for life. We encourage pupils to be resilient, to persevere when learning feels challenging and to be proud of their progress. Above all, we are honest—we take responsibility for our actions, speak with integrity and build trusting relationships with one another.

Our Community
Bricks and mortar do not make a school, people do. We can achieve great things when we work together, and our community is at the heart of what we do. We are a hub of support for our families, and provide a safe and loving environment for our children to shine.
Our Academy Trust
Since July 2017 we have been a proud member of Waterton Academy Trust, providing even more opportunities for our pupils to shine. As part of the Waterton family, we ensure that success for all is not a goal, but an expectation.
Rule of Law
Rule of law means that all people and groups are ruled by the same laws which help keep us all safe and happy.
Individual Liberty
Individual freedom is when people have the freedom to choose their faith, beliefs, likes and dislikes which are outside government control.
Mutual Respect
A fair, objective and permissive attitude to those whose faith and beliefs may be different to our own.
