A proud member of

Wrap Around Care

At Cherry Tree, we believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and our Breakfast Club gives children the best start to the day and that after-school clubs are a fundamental part of the school day and our wider offer for the curriculum.

Breakfast Club runs every day of the school year from 8:00am–8:45am and offers flexible, affordable support for parents with employment and childcare needs. It is run and managed by a dedicated team of staff who also work with children in school during the day in a different capacity, so there is always a familiar adult ready to greet children with a smile. As well as offering breakfast, reading support and help with schoolwork, we also provide craft activities each morning, alongside a sports activity led by our in-school sports staff

We are incredibly proud of our wonderful after-school club offer, providing a great variety of extra-curricular clubs each year, all of which are free and open to all children. These are in addition to our Lunchtime Club and Breakfast Club provision. After-school clubs give children opportunities to discover new passions and skills, support progression, and work with a wider range of children and staff. If you’d like to know what’s on offer this term, please speak to the school office.

Feedback

Feedback

We are always looking for ways to improve and expand our extended provision, and feedback from children and families is a key part of how we shape our offer. If you have suggestions for clubs, partnerships or activities you’d like to see, please let us know.

We genuinely listen to our community and use what we hear to make real changes. Children told us they wanted more opportunities to be active, so in the autumn term we introduced a sports club every night to give more children the chance to take part. Parents also asked for more creative and practical clubs, so we expanded our offer to include Textiles, a Mini Movers (motor skills) club, and two Arts & Crafts clubs. We are proud that our clubs evolve in response to feedback, and we will continue to review and develop our provision so it reflects what our children and families value most.

How To Book

Booking onto after-school and breakfast clubs is easy. All bookings can be made within a few taps, using our My Child at School app. Clubs go live at a specific time on an evening to allow all parents the opportunity to sign their children up, and more information can be found on our MCAS page.
