At Cherry Tree Academy we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum with high expectations and suitable targets for all.

We have an inclusive ethos which supports systems for the early identification of barriers to learning and participation. Teachers take account of children’s requirements and make provision to support individuals or groups of children. We recognise that children may have special needs at any time, or throughout their time in school.

Every school has to display their offer of special needs provision and services available for children with disabilities and special educational needs. This is called the ‘Local Offer’.

Our Local Offer, found above in the SEN Information Report, provides details on what services children, young people and their families can expect from our school. Knowing what is out there gives you more choice and therefore more control over what support is right for your child.

The intention is to offer choice and transparency for families, as well as providing a resource for professionals to detail the range of services and provision locally.

The local offer provides information for children and young people with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) and their parent or carers, in a single place.
